Full stock .50 cal smooth bore converted from FL gun. PA. German (base of the Blue Mts., W. Schimmel (1817-1890), type carved gun. A Boy’s, Ladies, Indian Buffalo gun, or most were barn guns, circa. 1830. Oct./Rd. barrel, made with no butt plate, no side plate (one screw), simple sheet brass long strip trigger guard, no end cap, one r.r. guide, crude carved stock with a cheek rest; a “beautiful” simple gun. May be a cherry wood stock with a nice patina. One crack visible opposite lockplate. (G-146)
