Great Lakes Indian Burl Bowl with an Abstract Manitou

$3,650.00

Fox-Sauk Indian maple Burl Bowl with an abstract Manitou (spirit) carved on one end of the bowl.  The bowl is oval, 10” x 8” x 3” high.  The Manitou representative figure width is 3” wide.  There is one stable rim crack in the bowl extending 1 1/2”.  The bottom of the bowl has an old original collector label with the acquired date and history of this bowl.  From an old documented collection, that was in storage for 50+ years. This thin carved bowl will make for a great conversation piece. ex. from the old collection of Roy H. Robinson. Roy’s old collector tag can be seen on the bottom of this rare find with providence; Roy collected this bowl 3-29-1927 and it was old then. circa. 1820-1850. (TR-412)
